Elan Organic Red Quinoa is a grain crop grown for its edible seeds and is a good source of iron and fibre. It is tender and seedy in texture while mildly nutty and earthy in flavour. Red quinoa cooks in approximately 18 minutes and a 2:1 ratio. Once cooked, it transforms from opaque and firm to fluffy and light. Like most grains, it can be used in soups and salads or placed in a glass jar for sprouting.
